The recruitment clinic is particularly aimed at:

• Graduating classes
• Candidates seeking career advancement

The recruitment clinic will:

• Have recruiters (companies & agencies) present at desks
• Assist with profile development
• Assist with CV development
• Provide bursary information
• Provide advisory service
• Develop and distribute a handbook “how to access career opportunities in the tourism sector”

Interactive arena

The main purpose of this area is to provide a platform for communication and collaboration. The interactive arena will have a daily schedule of events that will include demonstrations of career segments, chefs-at-work demonstrations, chef vs Radio DJ cook-offs and flaring. The interactive arena will be a buzz of activity over the three expo days.

Eco tourism arena

Eco tourism is intended to promote ecological awareness and to limit damage to the environment. It is almost impossible to separate a tourism experience in South Africa from a nature experience. So rich is the country in scenic beauty and wildlife, that these facets remain the strongest motivation for overseas tourists to visit South Africa. No trip to the country would be complete with visits to cities or created resorts only - visitors flock to the better-known scenic regions and beaches and insist on a visit to a game park. And there is still a wealth of lesser-known areas to discover. This arena has been created due to the growing awareness of environmental responsibility among the members of the tourism industry.

Adventure tourism arena

The country's diverse terrain, together with a climate suited to outdoor activities, make it an ideal hunting ground for adrenaline seekers. South Africa offers world-class climbing, surfing, diving, hiking, horseback safaris, mountain biking, river rafting - and just about any other extreme activity you can name, all supported by dedicated operators. This high adrenaline area will include activities such as a climbing wall.

Outdoor sports arena

World-class venues and supporting infrastructure, top international events and South Africans' passion for sport combine to make the country a huge draw card for sports fans. With this in mind we bring you the outdoor sports arena where visitors can play soccer and volleyball, so come on and show us your skills... we dare you!

Virtual arena

Instead of plunking coins into an arcade machine or taking turns on the family TV or PC at home, come to the virtual arena! We have a wide variety of games from action and adventure to role-playing, sports and racing.

Speakers’ platform

There will be a daily programme including a range of speakers to empower learners, students, educators, trainers, the public sector and the private sector through information sessions. The schedule of these mini-seminars includes:

• Role models - their road to success
• Industry - what are their expectations
• Educators & officials - showcase some best practices to demonstrate what they do to promote effective skills
• Recruitment companies - how they find jobs for candidates and expectations
