The NTCE needs you to make this a successful and impactful experience for our future tourism candidates.

Noxolo Vovani, Tourism student at College Campus

Vovani is currently studying Tourism at College Campus in Parktown, Johannesburg. "I took this course because I have a passion for it. I did Tourism in high school so this is not a course I was pushed into studying," she says.

Her passion was ignited in high school when she entered a competition where she had to write an essay about here local township tourist attraction, which they called the Kasi Attraction. "I wrote about a children's centre called Othandweni because it is helping our youth to be future presidents," she adds. Vovani won that competition and as a winner, was sent to the Union Buildings and Freedom Park in Pretoria.

Her goal in the industry is to be a Tour Operator or a Tour Agent. "I love meeting new people and teaching them. That is the true definition of ubuntu," she says. Vovani was inspired by the Kasi Attraction competition as she realised Gauteng has many hidden tourist attractions. "I want to be start a project that will promote these hidden attractions," says Vovani, "Being part of the tourism industry will really mean a lot to me."
