Learners

The NTCE is directly aimed at high school and tertiary/FET learners (past and current) looking to enter or advance in the tourism industry.

Educators

The NTCE is not exclusively targeted at the learners – the educators are just as important as you are the drivers behind the tourism industry.

Visitors

The Expo is open to all members of the public who are interested in tourism, whether you are currently in the industry or not.

Exhibitors

The NTCE needs you to make this a successful and impactful experience for our future tourism candidates.

Sponsors

The NTCE requires the support of the industry at large in order to be truly successful in its endeavours.

Jaime Louw

19-year-old Jaime Louw is a Hotel Management student at the International Hotel School. With her own catering and event-coordination company, Louw has a strong passion for the industry.

"My brother was studying the same course and it sounded so interesting", she says, "So I researched it and spoke to a student advisor and i realy found it appealing." Louw realised the hospitality industry matched her personality after completing a career-analysis that resulted in Hotel Management being the ideal career for her.

Louw feels a career in tourism is the best choice as she enjoys working with new people. "I love that you never live the same day twice. This industry opens up endless opportunities in the business world," she adds.

At the age of 19 years, Louw has established her own company named Service With A Smile. "We deal mainly with caterers and event co-ordinators for staff functions. We provide waiters, barmen, temps for restaurants or businesses, babysitters and anything you might need staff for."

Her goals for the future include traveling the world while working on a cruise ship. "I would also like to work at resorts and hotels all over the world," she says. She would like to open her own event-coordinating company and eventually obtain her own 5-star guest lodge. "The guest lodge should have fine dining and eventually make it a chain," she says.

Louw is currently doing her internship at the Hilton Hotel and Elangeni Hotel in Durban. With her own company and working experience, Jaime is a young talented lady with only success on her mind. "I can say I own my own company at the age of 19 and that would never have been possible if I was not in this industry. It is almost like a guarantee to success if you put in a little effort," she concludes.
